Unusual Surgical Operation Ends in Local Man’s Death
Doctors Mitchell and Hasilitt of Marshall and Hazen of Paris performed a rare operation on Wabash township resident Wm H Taylor. A two foot section of small intestine was removed and rejoined. Taylor survived the operation but died the following morning due to shock from prior illness. He was 58, survived by wife and eight children. Funeral services were held at the family home conducted by Rev Cochonour and burial in Taylor cemetery.
