Edward Channing Madison a longtime Marshall resident died suddenly from heart disease last Sunday morning. Born November 6 1839 in Marshall he served in the Civil War with the 30th Illinois Volunteers and joined the pension service later praised as a premier pension attorney. Funeral services were held at the family home with interment in the city cemetery, Rev W H Ziegler officiating.
