The football team faces Casey at Epsey this week and many pupils plan to accompany them. A.B. Church of Auburn township died Friday aged 78 years nine months after five days with heart dilation. Funeral at Auburn church Monday with Rev T J Wheeler and Abyurn Cemetery interment. Think well of yourself but don’t be a hog about it.

Fugitive Captured After Valparaiso Search

Advertising scam targets merchants in town
A solicitor arrived with a proposal for self advertising on a church calendar at an exorbitant price. He pitched the plan to merchants and was referred to the Community Club advertising committee, which declined to endorse it, and he left town.
Coal Drilling Resumes in Orange County Farm Area
A driller arrived Monday on the Amstott farm in Section 4 Orange township and will be followed by more crews in Clark and Edgar counties. The coal prospecting effort, begun last winter after extensive leasing, aims to intensify survey of the region and renew faith in the project.

Death of a Former Resident in Cherokee Iowa
C W Wright died suddenly at his home on Oct 8 apoplexy was the cause. He was 34 and had worked for two years with Cherokee Electric Co. Catherine Mullins Ferry, wife of Michael Mullins, died at her Paris home after long heart trouble. Born July 16 1857 in Allentown PA, she lived in Marshall and Paris most of her life. Survived by husband Michael and children Vern Dan Belle of Springfield and Detroit, with sister Hannah Ferry and brothers Patrick Hugh James. Funeral in St Marys Marshall.
