Harold Bright was elected president of the Eastern Illinois State Teachers Association at a Charleston meeting held last weekend. Officers include E Be Chapman as vice president and Annie L Weller as secretary. Delegates were appointed for the state convention. In Terre Haute a Marshall car was stolen on Myrtle Street, found later in Highland. four or five youths were seen fleeing, no damage reported.

Large social gathering at James Greenough residence

White Shrine of Marshall Class Twenty Held
The White Shrine met at the Masonic hall on Thursday night and took in a class of twenty people. About eighty were present from Robinson and guests from Paris and Terre Haute. A buffet luncheon followed for about 160 in the National Dixie hotel dining room. The room featured Shrine colors of yellow and white in decor and menu.

Death Notice for Clas F Burnsides in Marshall
