Washington Encampment blunders mar grand events
The National Encampment faced three major mishaps in Washington. Seating favoritism left thousands of veterans standing outside while officials kept many seats for Washington guests. The parade ran late and in poor formation, and a reception at the White House was marred by security lapses allowing many badges to be sold to veterans and civilians.
