A group identified as Timers from Queensland attend a Marshall reunion event. The event gathers former teammates and supporters for a commemorative gathering with speeches and recollections.
A large turnout gathered for a church reunion breakfast described as a great success. Attendees registered in the morning, the banquet followed at the church yard, and notable locals and families from Clark County were mentioned among speakers and participants.
Arcola capitalist G C Hallauer proposes a joint venture to build an artificial ice plant and cold storage near the Big Four station in Marshall. He offers to supply water pumping station power and city electricity, with the utilities committee set to discuss details next Saturday. In a separate incident Glen Baker shot at a man in darkness, wounding Ernest Adams over a disputed corn patch. Baker was jailed overnight as the community described the event as an unfortunate misunderstanding.
The Vandalia Line asks Marshall to furnish engine water at 80 to 100 dollars monthly, likely abandoning Griffiths station. If approved, trains would stop here improving service as the railroad reports the Marshall water supply is excellent and inexhaustible. Marshall currently serves the Big Four.
