Sheriff Pearce Keeps Busy Arresting Drunks in Local Counties
Last week Sheriff Milo Pearce was called to York to handle Arxt Baker for drunkenness and disorderly conduct. Baker was fined $200 plus $14.10 costs after pleading guilty. Pearce then went to Darwin for Charles Lathrop, who pled guilty and faced $112 in fines and costs. Pete Clough sought a ride back to Marshall. he was fined $15.80. Other arrests included John Frazier for illegal liquor transport with a $61.10 bill and George Lamb Todd for intoxication at $21.10. Jim Hollingsworth faced $26.10 after a drunken and disorderly charge.

Marshall Girl Dies in Chicago. Rites Held in Terre Haute
Former Marshall girl from Barrington Illinois died in Chicago Monday morning. She is survived by husband Clarence H. one daughter Cathryn two sons Richard and Jamea at home mother Mrs Mary Prevo of Terre Haute and brother Dr Samuel B. Prevo of Nashville Tennessee. Funeral services were held at Martin Tearman Funeral Home Terre Haute Wednesday afternoon at 2 30 o clock and burial followed at Roselawn cemetery.

Wayne Black son of Mr and Mrs Earl Black formerly of Marshall now in Kansas leased the Bonded Service Station in Oakland Illinois He is a Marshall high school 1956 graduate who took a short agriculture course at the University of Illinois He worked at Jack Hewitts Gulf Station in Marshall and is staying with his parents on a farm in March Wayne has one sister and a brother and invites Marshall friends to visit the station

Marshall High Graduate to Teach in Indiana
Billy Boys, a Marshall High School 1951 graduate, will finish at Indiana State Teachers College this spring. He signed to teach Social Studies at Perryville High School Indiana, coach six man football, assist in basketball, and coach baseball. Bays will graduate June 9 with majors in Physical Education and Social Studies.
