Sheriff Arrests Five for Taking Gasoline

Sheriff Milo Pearce investigated a report of gasoline drained from two tractors north of Marshall. In a car near Lickert farm were Don Clark 15 Martha Lance 17 Mildred Sanders 17, all Marshall residents, who confessed. They implicated Richard Branson 16 and Pat Brazstell 17 from Paris, who were arrested there and slated for county court arraignment at 9:00 a.m. Saturday.

Springfield Lawyer B M Davison Dies at 85

Attorney B M Davison aged 85 died Tuesday in a Springfield Illinois hospital. Survived by widow Mary two sons Homer Valparaiso Indiana and Eugene Springfield four grandchildren two brothers J H Davison Marshall and George Davison Terre Haute. Funeral services in Springfield Friday at 10 00 am with burial at Marshall Cemetery.

Three Judges Elected At Marshall With Narrow Margin

An election held last Monday at the Marshall courthouse for three circuit judge seats had only three candidates and three votes. The Board of Supervisors set a single polling place in the courthouse. John F. Spivey led with 96 votes while Harry I. Hannah and Robert F. Cotton each received 95.

Contracts totaling 4,040,380 were awarded in Springfield for the 1967 Illinois road program. City Council approves bids for track and gear upgrade

Marshall city council accepted the lowest bid for a new street and alley department track from K Simpson for 2495 and approved a 55000 switch gear purchase for the city power plant. The plan includes a building addition. bids due July 1. A 250 donation to the recreational fund and free lights for Little League were approved.

Man and wife die in Georgia head-on crash

Charles Tarbie aged 73 and Frances Tarble aged 64 died after a head-on collision near Camilla Georgia last Saturday. The couple formerly lived in Toledo Ohio and were living in Cocoa Beach Florida en route to Martinsville to visit their daughter and husband Maurice Murphy. The Tarbles were killed in the crash and Funeral services were held at Greenwell Funeral Home in Martinsville on Wednesday.

Well Known Resident Frank Saiter Dies at 66

Frank Saiter 66, a Marshall resident and former farmer, died Wednesday evening at his home 314 Pine Street Marshall. He is survived by his wife Carrie, a son Henry of Indianapolis, a sister in Marshall, a brother in Marshall, and two grandchildren.
