The Terre Haute Tribune reports a guilty verdict for an elderly farmer named Lang Don from Marshall Illinois. Lang was fined 100 dollars and sentenced to 180 days at the penal farms in Terre Haute.

John Ferry died of tuberculosis at his parents home on Michigan Avenue after a long illness. He was 24, unmarried and well regarded by friends. Funeral services were held at St Marys Church on Monday morning.
Jesse Foraker, a 22 year old Crawford county native, is jailed in Marshall on charges of stealing a horse and a gelding from Pearl Nichols last Sunday evening. Sheriff Wallace Waggett pursued him across Crawford county and cornered him in Hardin south of Stoy while Foraker tried to sell the horse to a village storekeeper.
Edmonia Kate Bell born August 1 1856 Terre Haute married William Sterling two sons James and Charles survived by husband and three sons one sister and many relatives. Funeral services conducted by Rev AB Cochnower at the family residence and interment at Bethesda cemetery north of Terra Haute.

At the mid week prayer meeting in First M F church Long Beach California Rev Russell E Stark of Long Beach and Amy O Neill of Boston were united in marriage before about 1200 friends. The bride, from Boston music circles, wore white pean de sole with tulle and carried white roses. The romance began when Stark studied for his S T B at Boston University. The bride has been a favored soloist at Tremont Temple Boston. Danville saloons reopen after license refusals leaving the city with unlicensed premises.
Telegram announces the death in Indianapolis of Mrs. Nitsche wife of Rev. Mr Nitsche former pastor of the Evangelical church here No funeral details were given and the service will be held in Indianapolis tomorrow afternoon.

The Sunday school drew 322 attendees with nearly all teachers present as the SS orchestra led by Prof. Wallace performed. Evening sermon on immortality by Rev. A. M. Smith attracted a crowded house with J. E. Adair singing. Evening meetings continue all week led by Rev. H. W. McPherson and Dr. Harvey Reece Calkins.
The interclass track and field meet ran from Friday night to Monday night with the final half mile deciding the champion. Seniors won the meet with a final score of 34, while freshmen and sophomores tied at 28 and juniors had 18.
At a courthouse meeting last evening Postmaster Handy presided with Dr. R A Mitchell as secretary. Committees named for finance program transportation and marshal of the day. Decoration Day exercises set for Sunday the 30th with a memorial sermon by Rev W H Ziegler on Sunday the 23rd.
Walter J Dolson, eight year Douglas County judge, committed suicide at the courthouse entrance in Tuscola at 4 AM Wednesday. His body found at 6 AM by county officer William Be Price. Age 40, unmarried, born in York, despondent after a failed re election bid. leaves several relatives in the county.
