Mother of Local Resident Dies at Daughter's Home
Mrs. Martha McMorris aged 89, mother of Chas. B. McMorris of Marshall, died at her daughter Mrs. Ered W. Troutman of Peru Indiana Saturday morning. The body was taken to Charleston Sunday for funeral services held Monday afternoon. Since 1915 she has lived with her children, visiting Marshall with her son C. R. McMorris, and earlier resided in Charleston for many years.

Boy Found With Bullet in Head in Hutsonville
Hubert Lindley 18, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Lindley of West York, died Monday afternoon after being found shot in the head in a club room near Hutsonville. A 25 caliber Colt Automatic bullet and pistol were recovered. He had been at Hupns restaurant with companions after midnight Sunday prior to disappearing with intent to leave. Survived by four siblings and parents. Funeral Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. in West York. Also notes on Lenten services by Rev. In Friday night action at Casey High School gymnasium the Marshall red and white basketball squad fell 19 to 12 in the county tournament. The Marshall grade school team also lost their opener to Westfield. Martinsville grade schools won the tournament defeating Westfield 24 to 11. Casey had earlier beaten West Union 40 to 12 and Westfield beat Martinsville 30 to 22 before Casey 31 to 22 victory over Casey.

Boy Burns In Fire Near Marshall Saturday
Harold Fredenberger, son of J W Fredenberger, was badly burned Saturday around 1 00 PM while trying to stamp out a small fire near his grandmother's home west of Marshall. His left leg sustained severe burns from the shoe to the hip. He was about a mile from home when the accident happened and it is unclear if he started the fire or if a nearby train caused it. He was reported resting easy but still in danger.
