Memorial Christian Church at 702 Sycamore invites worshippers to Bible study at 9:80 a.m. and services including communion at 10:30 a.m. worship at 11:00 a.m. and evening service at 7:30 p.m. A June 17 cottage Bible study featured violin selections and guest attendees listed.
Zion Emmanuel E A B Churches hosts Sunday school and morning worship at 9 30 with leaders Lois Johnson and Lowell Kance. Prayer meetings at 10 30 and 8 00 p m plus local conference and program council sessions. Youth fellowship roast and hayride planned with guest invites and supplies.
Church notices list Wabash Valley Men's Fellowship meeting at Dean Avenue Christian Church in Terre Haute at 8 p.m. on Friday June 26, with a ladies night and 7:15 departure. Choir rehearsal Saturday 7:30 p.m. and service plans at Barnaides Home 7:50. Board meeting Friday July 8 at 8:30. Camp Titana attendees named. The Methodist Church at 7th and Plum Sts hosts a mother and daughter banquet on Thursday with provided meals and self-service. Friday features a G L G class party at 2 pm. Sunday offers church school at 9 30 and worship at 10 30 with speaker Theodore Grob of Goodwill Industries, Terre Haute. The fourth Scott reunion occurred on Fathers Day at the Clark County Fairgrounds, Marshall, with descendants listed from Jacob and Hetty Brown Scott across numerous families and towns.
David Franklin Sweitzer 88 died June 15 1964 at Union Hospital Terre Haute after long illness. Born July 11 1875 in Darwin Township Clark County Illinois he married Ora Ellen Fuller March 28 1900 at Marshall. Survived by son Everett daughter Mae Gilbert and many grandchildren great grandchildren sister Ida Finkbiner.
