Marshall Board Approves Roof Repairs and Appoints New Coach
The Board of Education met at the high school on June 14 with all members present. Repairs to the new high school roof will begin soon with Maybéaire Construction Co. representatives. The board accepted resignations of Paul Heaton and Dolores Heaton, and voted to hire J. O. Jackson of Evansville as football and drivers training coach for 1956-57, plus Stanley Leasure as eighth grade science and math teacher. Three annexation petitions to join Marshall Unit School District C-2 were noted. Gene L. Amacher, class of 1947, was reported as earning a B S in electrical engineering electronics from Milwaukee School of Engineering.
