Drowning Fatality Claims 14-Year-Old Reginald Reed
Reginald Lynn Reed aged 14 drowned Tuesday afternoon in a pond on the Sylvia Doran farm about ten miles south of Martinsville while swimming with two boys, Roger Williams and David Bennett. Kenneth Ulrey recovered the body from about ten feet of water. He is survived by his parents Verlyn Reed, two brothers, a sister, and grandparents. Funeral services were held Thursday at St. Paul Cemetery.

Fifty years ago in 1915 marriage licenses were issued to Lawrence R Garner and Mabel Hewitt both of Wabash township. Sylvan Connelly and Florence Alrey of Parker township also received licenses. The Rademaker building on the east side of Marshall’s square is being painted in preparation for occupancy by Wabash Valley Gone Will Industries. The public library will close Thursday evenings during June July and August. Mrs. Ora Keller of Lower Wabash was taken to Union Hospital Terre Haute Sunday night for treatment. Commencement at the college is set for Sunday June 6 with approximately 490 seniors and graduates expected to receive diplomas.
