Five Young Men Arrested After Fair Weekend Break-In
Five youths, including soldiers and a marine on leave, were arrested after breaking into a Martinsville home near the state fairgrounds. They admitted taking a TV set a gun and other items. They were jailed in Clark County for 90 days and fined 100 dollars plus costs. Elaine Goekler, Clark County Fair Queen 1962, will compete at Springfield January 26 to 28 against about 52 contestants for Miss Illinois County Fair. She is the daughter of Mr and Mrs Ralph Goekler of Marshall.

Dennison Young Man Dies From Injuries After Route 1 Crash
David E. Fash age 22 of Route 1 Dennison died from injuries suffered Saturday morning in a two vehicle crash on U S 40 west of Terre Haute. He was taken to Union Hospital Terre Haute where he died Monday. He recently left the Air Force and is survived by his mother and stepfather two sisters and a brother in the Army. Funeral services were held Monday at 10:00 a m Moore Funeral Home Marshall with burial in Marshall Cemetery and Air Force personnel from Rantoul Illinois provided military rites.

A Terre Haute switchman, Frank Holt, was injured at the Velsicol Chemical plant when his foot was caught in a railroad tank car coupling.
