John L Strohm 1831 1914 Benton County Tribute
John Lewis Strohm born August 25 1831 in Ilingen Württemberg died January 15 1914 at age 82 years 4 months 20 days. He came to America in 1854 and settled in Marshall in 1855 husband of Anna Mary Mack with nine children surviving wife two daughters and three sons living in Marshall San Antonio Lovington West Union and others. He served in Company F 30th Illinois during the Civil War and later moved from farm to Marshall eight years before his death. Funeral services were held at the family residence conducted by Reverend Ehrhardt and Reverend Sandmeyer.
