Tragedy on Route 1 Kills 11 Year Old Elizabeth Raines
Twenty years ago in 1934, 11 year old Elizabeth Raines, daughter of Mr and Mrs Henry Raines, died Tuesday morning when a car skidded on Route 1 between West York and Hutsonville. Her funeral was held at the Hutsonville Baptist church yesterday afternoon. Also reported, a garage break in near Hutsonville yielded fresh meat theft, and two men attempted a robbery of Clar ence Goekler’s east Main street grocery on Saturday night. Mrs Clark Arwin returned home after a weeklong visit.
