In eastern Lawrence county farmers complete 42 miles of drainage ditch with a dredge on site and two more to start next spring. Reverend James M. Hill Dies. Longtime Church Leader
James M. Hill born May 1, 1843 died January 30, 1917. He married Delphina E. Towell September 29, 1866, and with five children, Lillie Kannamacher Cora Spittler Stella Huffman L. C. Hill, one infant daughter. Survived by wife two brothers two sisters 14 grandchildren three great grandchildren and many friends. A Church of Christ minister for 35 or 40 years he was a noted gospel expounder and debater.
