J E Ellis while traveling from Marshall met a serious accident at the top of Turkey Run Hill near Martinsville. He lost control of his Hudson coach and landed in a ditch. Briscoe Bros. of Westfield sold eighteen yearling Hereford cattle at Chicago yards on January 30, bringing $11 per cwt, the highest price for finished cattle. The lot averaged 867 pounds, all of very good quality and finished nearly show beeve condition. Only a few lighter steers sold at the same level while bulk traded $1.50 to $3.00 lower.

Accident claims elderly pedestrian in Walnut Prairie area
EW Kildow of Walnut Prairie was struck by a car driven by Otto Jackson of West York while walking on the pavement Saturday evening. He died Tuesday night at Paris hospital from injuries. a doctor and H M Dewey Co ambulance transported him. A new clock for the post office force was installed this week by Edwin Booth in the building.
