State Supreme Court to Hear Woman Suffrage Law Next Friday
The state supreme court will hear the argument on the new woman suffrage law next Friday the 18th. The date is expected to be decisive for both sides. Illinois voters in over 200 units outside Cook county will vote on going dry April 7. Dependence on women voters to decide against saloons drives many township campaigns. Clark county remains out. Additional local notes cover school terms, plumbing incidents, and residents traveling or visiting in Terre Haute and nearby towns.
