Counsel for Frank L. Smith appeared before the Senate Committee on Privileges and Elections to argue for a partial report that would allow Smith to take the oath and seat immediately. Andrew Lindsey charged with stealing Roy Spencer's hound dog of Wabash township was bound over to circuit court on March 14 after a preliminary hearing Tuesday. He waived preliminaries and is released on bond of 600 dollars until the circuit court.
Mrs Minerva Stephenson, the last of the original Shaw family, dies at her North Eighth street home in Marshall at age 91. She married Oliver Stephenson in 1859. he died in 1903. Survived by two daughters Miss Stephenson and Mrs Cole and a granddaughter Miss Mary Cole. Funeral held Wednesday at 3 p.m. with Rev G G Ross officiating. interment in Marshall Cemetery.
Miss Adda Godden of Terre Haute and John Perkins of West Terre Haute wed here Tuesday in a ceremony handled by Squire J L May. Mrs Perkins, a former Marshall girl, is the granddaughter of Cicero Bussard of Marshall.
Joe McLaughlin a Terre Haute driver for Home Packing Company trucks was arrested Friday by Policeman J W Wallace for cutting corners. He paid a five dollar fine plus costs in Squire Jay Swern's court Saturday morning.

Mrs Piney Clouse 81 died Wednesday afternoon at 3 00. Funeral services held at Grace Chapel at 10 00 with Rev I B Sipes officiating. Burial in the Siverly cemetery.
Mrs Harriet Mi Rinehart aged 80 died Tuesday at her granddaughter Mrs Wes Bakers home near Paris. Funeral services were held yesterday at 9 00 o clock at Dunlap Chapel with Rev T P Glendenning officiating. Interment followed in Dunlap cemetery.
The 20 year old play Lady of Lyons drew a full audience with Miss Jennie Green as Claude Methotlea and Miss Ethel Read as Pauline. The cast earned praise for strong performances including Miss Lucy Shaw as Claude’s mother and Miss Helen Pritchard as Pauline’s mother.
