Forty years ago in 1926 Ed Renner shipped three carloads of cattle totaling 75 head to Chicago on Sunday November 28. Some cattle were shown at the fat stock show while the rest were marketed. James Brown and Miss Norma Weaver of Livingston were married this week. Miss Lucille Stafford of Terre Haute announced engagement to Henry Allen Wallace son of Mr and Mrs Allen Wallis of Marshall at a party hosted by Mrs Arthur Fields in Terre Haute. Charles Gray 18 son of Mr and Mrs Jesse Gray of 605 Andrews Street Paris had both legs severed and his head crushed Saturday afternoon when he tried to hop onto a passing Cairo division freight train.

The state winner Kent Krukewitz of Homer high school produced 267.9 bushels per acre earning a wrist watch and golden ear trophy for the agriculture department.
