4 H Auction Sale At Fairgrounds At Marshall
The annual 4 H auction at the Marshall fairgrounds drew strong attendance. The grand champion steer owned by Flore Ketner sold for $35.00 per 100 pounds to Home Packing Company of Terre Haute. An $80 per hundred weight Hereford steer, weighing 950 pounds, was bought by Clark Service Company and donated to the Clark County 4 H Agriculture Clubs for the Harvest Festival barbecue on September 8. Numerous other steers and hogs sold to varied buyers including Paris Livestock Co and Linda Strohm with prices ranging from about $18 to $29 per hundred pounds.

James R. Davidson of Marshall NL has been named executive secretary of the Society of Plastics Engineers Inc taking residence at the National Office in Greenwich Connecticut. The SPE is a 5000 member technical group promoting plastics arts and engineering standards and publishes the SPE Journal.
