Death of Uncle Jacob Fraker Pioneer of Clark County
Jacob Fraker a respected Clark County pioneer died at his home two miles east of the city after a lingering illness. He was a Swiss born Civil War veteran who served in Co F 30th Illinois Vol Infantry, fought in Belmont Fort Henry Donelson Raymond Champion Hills Atlanta and Sherman’s March to the Sea. He married Phoebe Hann in 1866 and is survived by three sons and three grandchildren. His funeral was held at his home conducted by Rev C W Hamand with Judge Connelly assisting.
