The Clark county 4-H Share the Fun Festival in Casey crowned Down On The Farm as the winning number. Triple-T 4-H Club led by John Douglas and Woodford Williams staged the winning skit. Second place went to Girls 38th division for Casey At The Bat.

Voters in Marshall will choose a Mayor City Clerk City Treasurer and five aldermen across four wards for the next four years Polls run from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Readers can consult a ward map on page two to locate their polling place and vote next Tuesday.

Rotary Club Sponsors After Prom Party

The Marshall Rotary Club will sponsor the annual after Prom party May 14 at the Colonial Kitchen. A fortune teller will tell fortunes, prizes will be given, and entertainment plus refreshments will be provided. Rotary Ann's are asked to donate one Stamp Book or money, stamp books left at Dr. Sam Deahl's residence.

Mrs. Dale Sinclair of Martinsville will lead a ten hour First Aid Training Course at the American Legion Hall in Martinsville. The program starts at 7 00 p m on April 21 and the public is invited.

Smitley Accepts Springfield Assistant Superintendent Post

Donald W. Smitley son of Cleo H. Smitley and Mrs. Mary C Smitley will become the first assistant superintendent of the public schools in Springfield Illinois effective July 1 1965. He is a Marshall Community Schools graduate class of 1950.

Former Marshall Resident Kills Wife and Self

Forest Francis of Oregon Illinois, a foundry worker born in Marshall on September 23, 1904, shot his wife to death on April 1 about 9 00 p m and then killed himself. They are survived by three daughters one son and seven grandchildren.

National Farmers Meet Organizes In Marshall Court House

A large crowd attended the National Farmers Organization meeting in Marshall court house on Monday night. Delegations from Edgar Coles and Crawford counties in Illinois and Sullivan county Indiana joined the organizing session. District Director James Merritt and Dick Brown led the meeting and officers were elected: Boyd Nichols chairman Franklin Walsh vice chair Earl Kile secretary Dale Walters treasurer with Robert Boyer as district board member and trustees Anzie Buckner John Renner and Paul Williams.

Two-car crash injures Robinson trio in Seeleyville

Elizabeth Ferris and three-year-old Tracy Lynn Smith of Robinson Illinois were treated and released from Union Hospital Terre Haute after a collision involving Mr and Mrs Charles Smith of Robinson. Tracy Lynn lost two front teeth and had facial bruising. The Smiths were not seriously hurt. A Indy driver turning left caused the crash near Seeleyville Indiana as the group en route to Findlay Dayton Ohio and Connersville Indiana turned back home.

Easter Sunrise Service at Oliver Methodist Church

Easter Sunrise services will be held at Oliver Methodist Church on Easter Sunday at 6 30 a m with Robert Kingman of Marshall as guest speaker. The report notes the death of Capt Edward Harlan at his home last Thursday. Frank B. Finkbiner, 67, died Tuesday in Sarasota Florida. He is survived by a daughter Phyliss Sanders a son Tim his sister Mrs Jessie Benhout of Marshall and several nieces and nephews. The body was moved to Moore Funeral Home in Marshall where friends may call after 10 00 today. Funeral services will be Saturday at 200 oclock at Zion EB Church with Rev Robert Hale officiating.
