Herman Fawley, acting as supervisor of Marshall township, found 226 names on relief rolls. In March the count fell to 52 with $733.46 disbursed. Previously about $3,000 monthly was paid out. District Director to Visit Legion Auxiliary

The American Legion Auxiliary of Clark County Post 90 will meet in the Legion Auditorium on Tuesday April 15 at 800 pm. Mra Tass Rhodes of Danville serving as the 18th district director this year will make her official visit to the local unit. The West Union Legion Auxiliary Unit has been invited to attend and all members are urged to come. Gold Star members will be honored. Refreshments will follow.

Word was received that Fenton Fraker is a patient at Union Hospital in room 215. He was expected to return home last Friday but Thursday morning reports indicate complications, and no return date is known.

Shearing School Teaches Australian Method at UI

Victor Combs and John Bishop of Marshall attend the University of Illinois Dixon Spring Agricultural Center sheep shearing school held April 1 and 2. Instructor Gary Richetts notes speed comes with experience as students work in teams and coach each other while learning the method. Sheep shearers can earn seventy five cents to a dollar per sheep shorn and high school students often make up to six hundred dollars per season by shearing on Saturdays and after school.

Cary Grove Concert Choir to Perform in Martinsville
