Weather conditions ease and the Marshall field resumes full production as crude oil moves to the National road. Glover No 1 shows strong output though No 2 is delayed by Wabash packwater. Minnie Mae Murphy No 2 completes well with good results. Mary Lee No 2 casing cemented and Mary Page No 1 moved to open new area. Martin No 1 shows oil showings and is planned as a Devonian producer at about 2000 feet.

Children Receive Treatment From University Services
Springfield April 8 Thirty children from Clark County received treatment from the University of Illinois Division of Services for Crippled Children in 1949. Dr. Kobes announced the division treated 9 075 children across the state that year. Several local patients returned home after medical care. A newborn baby boy was born to Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow Davis of Marshall on April 1. The community seeks clothing and household goods for a large family burned out in Lower Wabsah last week. Prairie Ramblers 4-H club met with talks on chicken raising and exercises. New infants listed: Diana Cheryl born March 20 West Union. Richard Norman born to Mr. and Mrs. Marshall Mattis. Joyce Ann born April 8 to Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Walters. Janet Elaine born April 2 to Mr. and Mrs. Dean Reed.

Marshall men injured in bridge collision near Vincennes
William Anderson and Isaac Huey of the Marshall Hatchery were en route to Atlanta with a load of chicks when their station wagon struck the White River bridge abutment near Vincennes Indiana. Anderson suffered serious injuries and was hospitalized at Good Samaritan. Huey sustained lip and lower tooth injuries.

Easter Egg Hunt At Fairgrounds Sunday

Four-H Club Hosts Guest Talks and Activities
Kay Newlin 18 hosted the Hustlers 4-H meeting with talks on swine raising by Danny Reedy and beef raising by Norman Setzer. Brick Methodist Church Dedicated After Record Attendance
The Brick Methodist Church was formally dedicated last Sunday with more than 300 attendees. The building cost about 31,000 dollars and has been paid in full, leaving roughly 1,600 dollars unpaid before the dedication offering. The plate offering of 1,703 dollars and 60 cents settled the remaining balance.
Junior High Boys Start Track and Football
About 45 boys reported for Junior High track and spring football practice this week. A further report on track activities will be made later. Two football games are scheduled, both against Brazil, to be played in May.

Susan Faye Johns, child of Mr and Mrs Harold Johns of Dennison, died at Union hospital Terre Haute three hours after a crash on U S 40 when a pickup struck a stopped Indiana highway truck. The mother and Dorothea Jane 3 were treated and released. Funeral held at Dunlap church with burial at Dunlap.
