LAW ON THE FARM Revises weights and measures law
In 1921 the Tillmois legislature revised state weights and measures law to adopt U S standards certified by the National Bureau of Standards. It lists packaging labeling, sale by weight for butter oleomargarine and bread, milk bottle and barrel standards, and specifies units for length, area, volume, and common agricultural weights. The statute applies when parties have not agreed to different weights and notes no allowances for quality moisture or other factors.
