Horticultural Demonstrations Stress Early Orchard Care
R. S. Marsh of the University of Illinois led two Clark County orchard demonstrations. He noted trees planted after plowing under sweet clover grew larger than those set a year earlier on unfertilized soil. At G Cunningham’s 18 acre peach orchard no peach borer was found, and a Walter Cline farm demonstration praised sweet clover use.
