An Odd Will From Passaic Village Indiana
An elderly bachelor Maral of Passaic Village Indiana left most of his estate valued around 400 dollars to his heirs and horses. Executors Dr HR Teroune and a New York gentleman receive 10 600 dollars each to carry out the will. The farm of eighty acres near Paggiac is to be sold after ten years. A poor laborer and a few others receive small sums but much is let to the horses. A separate note tells of a Kentucky farmer finding a glass bottle in a chopped tree trunk containing liquid thought to be corn wine, baffling how it got there. The piece also mentions a remarkable journey by a Mrs Z MM Smith and her husband who rode 12 000 miles by horse and 80 000 miles by team and boat and Indian canoes across the Rockies to Mexico to fund lectures based on her experiences.
