Stolen Buick Recovered In Barn Near Corinth
A Buick stolen from Whitesides Garage on North Market Street Thursday night was found in a farmer’s barn near Corinth. The car was to be returned to Marion after notification to J. H. Whitesides. No arrests have been made.

Tent Revival Baptisms End as Warder Street Baptist Closes
The Warder Street Baptist revival in the big West College tent concluded Sunday night with 22 candidates baptized at Reservoir Park. The four week effort under Evangelist J. L. Meads produced 40 conversions and 42 additions, swelling membership to 278. Attending guests included Rev. T C McMinn Rev M Little Dr H T McKinney and several quartets and choirs. Services continue in the tent until the new church is finished.

Marion City Council Acts On License Fees And Auto Penalties
At a Monday meeting the council passed the White Way lighting ordinance for East Main street to the fair grounds. New ordinances raise street and moving picture license fees and set a heavy penalty for drunk driving and underage driving. The session also approved monthly reports and fines, with city clerk receipts totaling 3031.70 and total claims 3584.84.

McCown Holds Two Inquests in Marion and Johnston City
Coroner William McCown presided over two inquests on Monday. In Marion, the case of Joe Fontenetta who died after injuries from an explosion in Scranton mine was ruled an accidental death due to a mis-fired shot on July 28, 1921. In Johnston City, Mortie Beal’s death at home was attributed to paralysis.
