Recreation Club members return from a half day grounds cleanup as work on the golf course progresses toward opening by week’s end. Ladies gather at five for a picnic supper. tennis courts may be built and an amphitheatre gallery may host tournament play this season.
Herrin High School orchestra performed from St Louis on Sunday evening to a large Marton audience. Telegrams from many regions praised the program and a final encore drew enthusiastic messages of congratulations to the young musicians.
