Reports mention new fences at Dr Witmer and strawberry season notes plus a Colorado meeting and Bollinger fortune rumor.
W W Sample went to J Louis the first of the week. Mr and Mrs Miller of Doe Run visit their sons. Mrs Eli Lutes left on business south. Mrs J Q Ramsey, visiting in Jackson, returned home. J M Poe and son returned from Deihl stadt last week. Mrs Wolf recovering after illness. Jesse H Lutes, Lutesville, sells harness. Will Waldon family of St Louis to spend summer here. Farmers urged to visit Jesse H Lutes for real bargains in hats or saddles. Miss Jensie Lutes returned from Alto Pass NL. Davie Steele returned to Central City KY. School Board employed W A Leoiller principal and Melvina Lutes assistant. Uncle Miles Francis died at 82, buried in Sheil graveyard.

Trade is dull due to fine farming weather yet fish catches rise led by Dr G R Tulley. Local figures James and Cadwell are noted in moves and visits while schooling and sports activities entertain the community.

W A Gunn collector sues continuous cultivation and lien on 40 acres in section 43 two 28, names Henry Vanderven John Steckler Jacob Shell Henry Shell. Witnesses listed. Also second case in Bollinger county states suit to enforce state lien on 100 acres in northwest quarter section 0 two AO, rg 9 east. Court sets next term for September and publication urged.
Plaintiff by attorney alleges a civil action under state law. Clerk orders publication notice in Marble Hill Par as the defendant must answer by the term’s end. The notice runs for four weeks prior to the term start and includes the county and court details where the suit was filed.
