On to Washington Coxeys Army Reaches Pittsburg

General Coxey and about 3000 commonweal marchers have reached Pittsburg with a portable camp sheltering new recruits. Fry's division rode a stock train through DeSoto last Tuesday morning carrying 615 men in upper berths asleep under canvas. The force moved on to Poplar Bluff, then Ivory Station near Crondelet, totaling around 650 before crossing into Illinois.

New Local Government Election at Lutesville

The Lutesville election passed quietly with forty nine ballots. The new board includes E P Biges, J Lutes, J M Burford, W A Phipon and W K Wasterling, sworn in Monday night. At the school election two new directors were elected and a 50 cent tax for echo school purposes carried 49 to 11. a ban on paint and shingle failed 35 to 34. and the house was set for private school use 64 to 6. Marble Hill school elected Frank Elfrank and Jack Frymire as directors. Frank succeeds Louis Mayer. Also a poultry sale notice.
