Barrey Amiel died in Seymour after paralysis struck him Tuesday afternoon while he sat in a chair at the Bank of Seymour. He was 74, a longtime Wright County resident and former county clerk for 20 years. The funeral will be conducted by Rev. D. F. Ellis at Seymour Cemetery.
Miss Clara McNaul aged about WW years died yesterday afternoon at her brother S C McNaul's home from a long illness described as tropsy. She had recently come from the west hoping climate would aid health. Funeral arrangements await her brother's arrival from the east. The remains will likely be sent to Pennsylvania for interment.
W A Black returned Sunday night from Columbia where he attended Journalism Week sessions at the University of Missouri. Many noted speakers participated and the closing banquet was prepared and served by Missouri maids. Columbia people deserve thanks for hospitality shown.
Deputy Sheriff Stone went to Springfield during the week and brought back Charles Crane of Cedar Gap, wanted by Wright county officials on an assault charge. Crane received a preliminary hearing before Justice C. La Beach and was bound over for trial at the next circuit court term.

The city council held a regular session Monday with Mayor G. S. Burney presiding. Dr. F. T. L. Riley was sworn in as mayor and took charge. Aldermen J. A. Son, James Coding, and City Attorney N. J. Craig were reelected. Freeman elected president of the council. J. W. Brazel, Clerk. Roe Strong named Street Commissioner, Police Judge, and Collector. The council meets on the second Monday each month. A financial statement for the year is being prepared for publication next week.

After 25 hours of deliberation in a federal court trial in Willow Springs Missouri the Daniels Commission Co case ended with Daniels acquitted on four counts. Thomas and Rose remained hung eight for acquittal four for conviction for Rose and nine for acquittal three for conviction for Thomas.
The year old son of James Graysom and his wife on the George Miller farm fell from a lot at 10 o clock this morning, fracturing his left arm. Dr. R M Rogers re did the fracture.
A telegram announced the death of TH Morgan of Nenzel Nebraska. Morgan was a Wright county citizen who still owned a good farm here.

Mrs. Daniel Brentlinger aged about 70 died Tuesday at her home in the Pea Ridge area. Rev. A. Russell of Hartville conducted the funeral from the residence yesterday afternoon. Six cousins served as pallbearers. She had lived in Wright County many years. She leaves a husband two children and many relatives and friends.
Odle conducts the annual all day old fashioned singing at Cedar Gap Sunray. Everyone invited to bring dinner baskets and enjoy a day of singing with dinner on the grounds.
Dr bh Th Riley the Dentist will be in his Hartville office in May to 15 returning to his Mansfield office May 17. Remember his dates Ady.
Hartville plans to save a rural route to be known as route four. Will Gorman cites stock law lowering wool crop yields and higher prices. A small wedding was held Wednesday at 5 pm at Rev Franks Ellis residence 12 miles west of Hartville uniting TH H Curtis and Miss Effie Pyatt in marriage The bride daughter of Mr and Mrs C Pyatt taught at Hartville public school and is active in the Baptist church The groom son of James Curtis works at the Curtis grocery firm in Hartville and attends the Christian church They will reside in Hartville over the Bank of Hartville with immediate housekeeping arrangements and are widely respected by friends who celebrated with bells and tin pans

Sunday an auto driven by Cecil Hoover of Kansas City lost its brakes on a hill near PLD. The car went into a ditch causing about 20 dollars in damage. Cecil remained with the car, not injured. Prank Rippee and S C Rippee jumped from the vehicle during the incident. the car was towed to town and repaired by Monday, returning to service.
The Mansfield Concert Band under Prof. Samuel Matthis presented a varied program at Mansfield Opera House on Friday night. Local talent joined in numbers including Miss Mable Hoover, Miss Ruth Haverty, and Bertha Miller in violin and cornet pieces, plus recitations and solos. The program featured marches, overtures, and selections such as Flowers of Wildwood, Stars and Stripes Forever, and Just Before the Battle. A cast of local names appeared in sketches and solo spots, reflecting the town’s musical spirit.
