Four attend McComb camp meeting from here. Mrs. Boyle, widow of the late Colonel Boyle, died at her son Capt. Boyle’s home near McComb after weeks of illness and will be buried in Washington DC National Cemetery beside her husband. Capt. Boyle, wife and two children left for Washington. Stews a Baptist church member. Mr. Cutter and family moved to Dr Vanooy place west of town. Mr. and Mrs. Will Kelley move to the vacated Gunnard place. Ben Wall attended revival in Hartville. All day service and dinner on the Fairview church lawn. Rev. Teague urged Bible study in sermon. Mrs. Pete Connolly succeeded by Bred Hart as postmaster. MBE Sunday School held an ice cream social. afternoon games. Teague to start revival at MBE Church Aug 20 with possible singer.

35th Division To Meet In Kansas City Reunion

The 35th Division annual reunion will occur in Kansas City with the American Legion third annual convention. Officials of the 45th Division Association approved the move from St. Joseph, Mo., to boost attendance with railroads’ one cent a mile rate. Exmembers arrive October 31 for the parade opening the Legion convention. Division sessions set for November at 4 p.m. at an amusement park.

Road construction on county line extends to Wright Co

A damaged OCR fragment reports road work from W. Duwan to Matistieli mand Avi road joining at Wright Co line. Led by Sid Metrite and Gen. Liles, volunteers including many named donors carried out the effort. The stretch, about two rods wide, is described as nearly complete with no fires on the pond and signs of progress under heavy donor support from local residents.
