A long list of local sightings visits sales and promotions fills Mansfield pages. Town residents A. M. Turner and others visit home folks while shops advertise fountain supplies, hats, tires, patches, and car services. Notes cover travels to Springfield Kansas City and California, farm loans, strawberry business insights, auctions and church events, with several brief movements and local business promos.
The Mansfield Grays beat the Ava ball team 8 to 7 in an inning game last Sunday. Gaskill pitched well for Mansfield, with O Reynolds on Ava. McGinnis hit two triples for Mansfield while Freeman saved the game by catching a long fly in center in the ninth to prevent Ava from tying.
The M F A W P T A held its annual picnic at the cave on the W O Williams farm on August 10 near Mansfield. About 200 attendees enjoyed the program and basket dinner with speeches from Mansfield visitors and Springfield managers. A $35 collection was taken for Mr W O Stanley as attendees were invited to return next year.
Wright County citizens gear up for the Agricultural Pair and Stock Show in Mansfield. The Mirror notes a strong committee slate including Finance Oscar Coday and W. A. Black, Advertising Oscar Coday, Decorating F. H. Riley, and Music W. C. Coday. More committees to be named later.

The Stanley Relief Fund total reached $25.61. Citizens are urged to learn names of all contributors to notify Mrs. Stanley. The goal is at least $100 per family around the Mansfield Exchange. Sarah Gaskill, Treasurer, will report updates in the Mirror.
The Ozarks region enjoys prosperity as rains boosted crops and fruit yields. Machinery is readied for the World’s Fair of the Ozarks to be held in Mansfield from September 2 to 30, with farmers urged to prepare exhibits and stack goods for a strong display. The strike is expected to end soon, after which economic activity will rebound across the country.
