Mr and Mrs Olen Kennedy announce the birth of a son on Monday morning October 15 at Deacones Hospital Lincoln Illinois. The infant weighed eight pounds and has a sister Carol aged six. The mother is the former Mary Kay Rosendahl daughter of E J Rosendahl of Petersburg. The paternal grandparents are Mrs L N Kennedy and the late L N Kennedy of Havana.

Ageing Parkin girl injured in hay rack accident
Alice Kay Parkin, 14, daughter of Mr and Mrs Charles Parkin of Spring Lake, was riding a hay rack at a Boy Scout party when she slipped on straw and fell.
