Illinois Division grants aid for Mason County cancer program
Mason County receives 235 dollars toward public service and education for cancer patients as part of a 32,331.28 dollar Illinois Division funding. Helen Rankin, Mason County chairman, notes grants support 13 Illinois chapters for 1952-53. Other grants include 3000 to Mandel Clinic and Michael Reese Hospital Home Care plans, 800 to Women’s and Children’s Hospital, 7200 to Northwestern University Medical School for three fellowships, and 461.28 to Mercy Hospital. The Illinois Cancer Crusade reached 926,603.18 in its final audit.
