Lonard O Hewitt announces Forman schools start Friday August 29 with sessions until noon on that day and standard time. Students should be ready early for bus changes as routes shift. Hot lunches begin Tuesday September 2 after Labor Day, with buses checked under state regulations and driving staff nearly complete.
Mr. and Mrs. Delmar Fuller announce the birth of their second daughter born at Pekin Hospital on Friday.
Members of the MCHS class of 1943 met at Mineral Park Pe kin on Sunday for a pleasant reunion. A basket dinner was served picnic style at noon. Present were Warren Kwas growsh and family Heyworth Bill Fritz and family Morton Gnile Beebes and Larry Lee Peoria Nelson Keisling and family Robert Talbott and family John Reynolds and sons Darrel Hirst Lawrence Parkins.
Mr Roy Bidewell and wife and their grandson Bobbie of Champaign were dinner and supper guests on Sunday at Mrs Henry Waldmeier's home.

Office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily and Saturdays until noon.
Barbara Seelye was an overnight guest Monday at the home of Mr and Mrs Bill Wilson in Fairview. Monday evening she attended a pre nuptial shower honoring Jean Wilson a Delta Zeta Sorority sister at Eureka College.
Mrs. Lee Canopy joined Mr and Mrs Al DeVore and traveled from Delavan Monday evening to visit relatives. She stayed with the Farnams on Tuesday and was taken to Manito by Clarence Farnam to be their house guest for the rest of the week.
Mrs J A Seelye Barbara Seelye and Diane Smith were late Tuesday afternoon and evening guests of Mrs Opal Seelye in Atlanta.
Modelle Warner enjoys a short family and friends vacation before beginning teaching duties. She earned her degree from the University of Saskatchewan in June and will teach English and Spanish at Piper City High School.
Mr and Mrs Harry Rankin of Fort Worth Texas visited their son and daughter who stayed with Mrs Jennie Rankin their mother in Fort Worth from last Wednesday until Sunday.
Mrs Virginia Booth formerly Virginia Kelly of Booth Texas is lodging as a house guest of her mother Mrs Flossie Kelly.
Mr and Mrs Fred Graff and son Carl completed a two week stay with relatives and friends and returned to their home in Phoenix Arizona.
Jake Guile reports a new address at Green River Wyoming while renewing his Express subscription. Mr. and Mrs. Sourly spend the week at the Yeates home caring for grandchildren as Raymond and wife enjoy a fishing trip in the north.
Mr and Mrs Frank Palmer hosted a Jackson family gathering on their lawn with a pot luck supper and tamelon feast. Guests included Harmon Bruning Havana Ben Jackson Frances Jackson Jesse Jackson Jerry Jackson Bath Merlyn Jackson Forest Bob Jackson Mancy Clayton Folkman John Styninger Canton Clarence Jackson family and Mary Standard of Peoria plus the hosts.
Nineteen friends attended the home of Mr and Mrs Glen Tackman Sr to celebrate Mary Alice Tackman eleventh birthday. Games and contests were arranged by Mrs Tackman with prizes awarded to Kenny Robinson Barry Farnam and Shirley Cooper. Refreshments were served after the social hour.

McKinley 82 died at 5 45 am Tuesday at her Easton home where she had lived 33 years She was born March 23 1870 in Germany daughter of Henry and Bertha Onken She married Dietrich Wahlert March 2 1893 he died later She also married John McKinley who died a few years ago She is survived by eight daughters two sons a brother sister and eight grandchildren Funeral set for 2 pm Thursday at Easton Methodist Church with Rev Harry Evans and Rev Micheal McGowan officiating Burial in Easton Cemetery

Mrs Ralph Parkin entered Pekin Public Hospital on Sunday August 17 for thyroid surgery and returned home improving nicely after the procedure performed Monday August 18 at 9 a.m.
