Poor Attendance at Improvements Committee Meeting
At the Manilla Agricultural Society monthly meeting Mr D E Hunt reported a low turnout for plans to form the Recreation Ground Improvements Committee. Ald Grill was elected president and D H Hunt secretary. A future meeting will invite sporting bodies to nominate two members. The group approved a new ring fence using black water piping and wooden posts with netting. W J Byrnes praised Hunt and Ghys for their attendance. The Council will maintain cattle yard gates and plans to reclaim land from horse stalls to the road, enlarging the Showground.
