Evening College planned for Manilla school
Alderman Grill welcomed about 30 residents and invited Mr Pratt, head of Tamworth Technical College, to discuss starting an Evening College in Manilla. Mr Vere outlined aims, needs, and courses from general education to home crafts, with a 30-student three-evenings-per-week target. The Manilla Public Sponsoring Committee will recruit teachers, coordinate with Tamworth, and organize a seven-member committee with one woman to oversee the project.
