Manilla Business Mens Assoc Outlines Railway Branch Line Request
At the October 8 meeting members discussed the Railway Department omitting a Branch line extension on October 2 while a main line train ran on schedule. Residents missed a long weekend and the association resolved to petition for future branch service. They praised twice weekly street sweeping and planned to ask the Municipal Council to note it. The Postmaster will submit to the department an updated Telephone Directory list. Dressing sheds for the Swimming Pool were hoped to be ready for summer use. A note on Artie Fadden and a hypothetical price in a popularity contest appeared in the issue.
