Manilla Bowling Club Annual Meeting Report
The Manilla Bowling Club held its annual meeting with broad member attendance. President J. Byrnes welcomed the Central Northern Bowling Association official A. Joseph and presented the annual report noting 11 meetings held, 13 members on committee with an average attendance of 9.25. Prize winners included J. N. Kennedy, W. Coupland, D. Oule, W. Bignall, A. Rongers, C. F. Hayward, A. G. Kelly and J. N. Kennedy, plus pairs champions Kelly and Kennedy. The green was praised for high standards. improvements included an outside bath donated by Sgt. Dick and a green top-dressing machine. Club finances remained healthy due to member support and donor assistance. The club toured Quirindi and Gunnedah, placing in CNDBA pennants. Membership stood at 58. officers elected included Patron J. D. Kennedy, President J. Byrnes, Vice Presidents Hayward and Seok, Secretary A. H. MacLeod, Treasurer C. M. Podinove, and committee members Blanch, Davis, Eekford, Fisher, Gannon, James, Kennedy, and North.

Donations to One Patriotic Fund Acknowledged With Event
A long list of voluntary donations is acknowledged for the One Patriotic War Fund tied to the Ugly Man competition. Donors include Heywood, Abberfield, and many others, with varied amounts.
