Newmarket Handicap at Manilla Race Meeting
The second day of the Manilla Newmarket Race Meeting featured the Newmarket Handicap with £100 prize money. Four runners finished after one scratched at the post, with Archingeddon winning easily and Pembroke second. Other races included First Improvers and Maiden events won by Civic Lass and Imposition respectively, with Novdak taking the Second Improvers and Quizmaster winning the Welter. In the day’s social item, Manilla Sub-Branch RSL bade farewell to Bill Boylan, who will join Warren’s Commercial Bank as second in charge.
