P and C Association Holds September Meeting
The P and C Association met on September 24 with President G R Collins in the chair. The Minister for Education Heffron backed the new double classroom unit as adequate for next year and the council’s footpath remarks drew dissent. The group urged the Education Department to press the council to weatherproof approaches. Memilla CWA will present a United Nations flag on October 24. Thanks were given to organizers of a Mannequin Parade and a Dance to Mothers’ Club funds, plus J A Haining for art exhibition proceeds. Donations of £25 to the Library and £20 to the Prize Fund were approved.
