Districtwide green cover shows as farmers plant wheat in Manilla, while some cut willow trees for stock feed prompting warnings of prosecution. Red Cross Day arrives next Saturday June 3 with fair, foods, stalls, and afternoon tea at the Red Cross Shop.
June 3 and 4 mark distribution of the new ration year starting June 5. Old books and Civilian Identity Cards are required for new issues, with post or agent collection options and special forms for address changes. Food and clothing coupons are detailed by color, with expiration dates and procedures for service personnel, children, and farmers.
