Municipal Council Action on Monthly Assn Requests
At the monthly council meeting the association asked for a traffic dome at Manilla and Charles streets North Manilla to be referred to the Traffic Department. They urged burr removal in North Manilla and were advised it has been attended to. The council waived the 3d per 100 gallons water charge from the stand pipe. A tree in front of Mr C Sing’s home at Manilla and Charles Streets was to be lopped and left to the Works Committee.

Infant Mothers Club annual meeting highlights 1952 work
At the annual meeting of the Infant Mothers Club the year 1952 was described as very successful. Members praised fund activities and improvements for the Infants Department. Tribute was paid to key organizers and a Christmas gift program noted. New officers were elected and the club thanked retiring headmistress Miss Rooke. Official Opening of Dressing Sheds by Tamworth MP
The official opening of the new dressing sheds will be held tomorrow Saturday at 3.30 pm. Member for Tamworth Mr W A Chaffey will conduct the ceremony with the Mandowa Shire President and councillors attending in official capacity. Refreshments will be available afterward at a small cost by the Manilla Ambulance Committee Auxiliary.

Council Briefs Sees Water Deliveries Delayed in Manilla
The Manilla Municipal Council met in the Council Chambers on Tuesday night with Mayor G. F. Grill presiding. North Manilla Water Australia Middle East Trading Co notified partial delivery of cast iron specials due to 1952 import restrictions, full delivery expected late March or early April. The council granted use of a Court and Manilla streets land block for three nights March 9 10 and 11 at £4 per night.
