Bishop to consecrate Church in Mavilla Sunday evening
The Bishop will visit Mavilla to consecrate the church at 7 30 p m on Sunday. After the service in the Parish Hall he will speak on his American trip. A general welcome is extended to all to be present. An 7 am Holy Coinage review will finish the dedication on Monday. The annual parishioners meeting is set for Tuesday February 29 at 7 30 p m in the Parish Hall. Nominations for officers should reach the Vicar by Sunday February 27.

Harvest Festival Services Held at Manilla and New Mexico
Methodist Harvest Festival services last Sunday drew large congregations in Manilla and New Mexico with visitors joining the Afternoon service. Miss J Halwd Mre Fo Payy and Miss Shirley Cooke recited at the Morning service in Manilla. The churches were decorated with harvest produce and Monday’s sale was well attended. Next Sunday and Monday Festival events will move to Barraba Olnnwh. Kenneth Francis, son of Chaplain and Mrs. Francis, is reported missing in air operations over Germany and spent part of his boyhood in Manilla.
