Bowls Central Northern Association meets at Tamworth
At Tamworth last Sunday the Central Northern Bowling Association elected leaders with Mr VY Barr nominated as president new terms awarded to Joseph after a decade of service. Fifteen delegates attended with Barraba unrepresented. Changes include Quirindi Gunnedah and Warris Creekal clubs allowed to withdraw to form a North Western Association. An ex gratia donation of 30 pounds was approved to support the new body, and ONDRA and Stabe championships will run under similar conditions as last year. Competition results from Wednesday and Sunday events are listed with several matches and scores.

Manilla Boy Scouts Elect Officers At Annual Meeting
The Manilla Boy Scouts Committee held its annual meeting with President Mr J Byres and members including D B McMillan L Carey D D Ghys M T Stewart J Hallett R Hooker W G W BH Woodcock and M J Porter. Finances began low but earnings from a street stall and a picture show boosted funds. Pat Bell returned as a healthy operator after illness. The balance sheet showed a credit of 27 pounds 14 shillings 6 pence as of June 50th. A Social Committee was formed to augment funds and elect officers included W J Byrnes as vice president and M J Porter as secretary.
