Wool Market Report From April 2 1953 Auction
The catalogue featured 4792 bales dominated by autumn shorn wools with some late shorn clips. Quality ranged from medium to fair good length with burrs higher than a year earlier. Buyers were numerous and diverse including Conti Yorkshire Japan and USA mills. Prices were firm versus Sydney closing rates March 25 with strong clearance and minimal withdrawals. Top price 193 for AAAH estate late D Finlayson Armidale, spinners length wool AA A ratings listed.
